The 6th installment in the PM series of AM Records contains two outsider house tracks by Afrobot and Steven Pieters, made for early morning sessions in dirty basements and illegal tunnel gatherings. Although undeniably walking the left side of the road, ‘Power In Love’ has a fair dose of gospel and brings an uplifting message in a time the world desperately needs one. The second track ‘Seance 2020’ delivers a blurry dose of heavily syncopated percussion loops taken from Afrobots’ magic collection of obscure wave records, topped off with a thick layer of 303 bass, taking you straight to the mental asylum. Both tracks were made at the Penthouse 934 studio, the top floor of a boarded down building in the center of Rotterdam that used to function as the local TV station. While you were sleeping and with the sun slowly rising above the Rotterdam skyline, Afrobot and Steven Pieters poured another glass of red wine and concocted these tracks for your listening enjoyment.
